Five Great Faux Painting Tips


Preparation Fix first walls

Tape your ceilings and baseboards with low tack tape. Blue tape works great. Use a cloth drop cloth instead of plastic. Drops to soak into the cloth and dry faster, so you do not track paint through the house. Fix holes or cracks in the walls first and dirt.

Primer

Aqueous dispersion of colors in "Satin" or "eggshell" is the best kind of paint for your base coat used.

Mixing glazes
