How to create your own concrete curb for pennies per foot posts

This is a great idea I have a few years ago. It has worked well and it works great now with the new plastic gutters that are available.

Way back then gutters where wood or steel. The guys that I saw, wood and oil, lest they hold the concrete. They still had some problems removing the curbs but it worked!

What you do is a couple of 10 'length of plastic gutter obtained.

Make some braces to open it from stretching when you stop to fill it. These can be made with 1 "driven x 6 "boards on each side and braced with stakes in the ground.
You need to cover also cut a few pieces at each end. These can be screwed onto the mounting brackets.

Oil the inside of the trough and fill it with concrete!

In a few days, take the 1 x 6 boards and you can command to it to your new stop. Just come, because you can help the plastic a little to stretch the distance.

Do not try to pull off the road around for at leastone weeks, cover it with plastic and keep it moist for 7 days. It should be enough to buy and use cured if your temperature is in the 60 to 70 degree range. If it is colder, you should wait longer, or until late spring or summer!

There is also a good plan for a length of 1 add / 2 "reinforcing steel to the curb when it is poured to 1 / 2. This makes it much stronger and less likely to break when you maneuver it is about.

These are very difficult, so try to stick to them as close as possible to where theliving will. I always try them so all I have to do is roll them and they are doing in place.

A good mix is best for this type of aggregate.
